Navigator's Station Question

Post by Paul »

Things are moving along more slowly than I wanted. The mast is almost re-wired but with additional lights which will require adding wiring internally to my C-22.

At the nav station I currently have a volt meter about 3" diameter (going from memory so I could be off on the size). To its left is a 3/4" - 1" hole where one black 22ga wire with a female quick connect is sticking out. What instrument am I missing that this should be attached to?

Hey Paul Pictures...lol , not sure where your nav station is on my C-22 it has the basic wiring and lights with just a 3 position light switch on the cockpit controler.

A fishfinder would be a great insterment to have if you can see it from the cockpit. A VHF radio could be what you had there.

Hope things work out soon so you can enjoy.

Sounds like it might have been a 12V power plug, I have one there for use with GPS, cell phone chargers, or a hand held spotlight.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. Seems my camera crams too many of those pixel things onto the memory card and I haven't experimented with how to reduce them to make them managable on the site (It's the same reason I don't have an avatar).

From your answers my guess is the 3 way switch because there is no other place on the boat to turn on the nav lights.

Thanks

For pics that are too big or more than one, I like photobucket.com . You can create a free account and download your pics there, then link the pic or album.

I agree with Andiron120, sounds like a lighter plug[/url]
