Bought an extra wench same size as factory ones on the C22. Looking for ideas on a place to mount it to help with single handing the boat. I'm thinking using it for the main. Will probly put a roller furler on the head sail.

All ready have port side done . So I'll just keep redoing them on the cabin top and couple other areas running into the dry glass too. Glassing the hull to deck joint closed too so I'm already there . They didn't do a very good job on about half the wood I've dug out missed it or hit half of it .

Been doing a lot of fixing on my C22. Replacing the wood under stachanion bases cracks and such. Keep running into voids and really dry fiberglass. Ok thanks for the info didn't see a bunch extra holes in the mast where something else had been mounted. Just didn't seem like a very Spam!!!!!!!! set up for a factory one when you see all those tapered tear drop type spreaders .

Where would one find out how long, wide ,and placement of the the proper one would be ?

any one have a pic with measurments or know another Make that the mast spreaders might interchange with? The P/O installed some real nice pipe ones with a pipe 4 bolt flange.

Thanks. For the help so far. I do have the hinge and not the hook style step. 2 measurements I would like to have is the height above the deck of the mast step. And if someone could put a straight edge pointing back towards the companion way and give me the height difference to the deck at point A ...

I have it off the trailer inside the shop so raising the mast is not possible. Checking the V birth and the seats for table inside against the water line mark are very close. Way the rigging looked and the mast step fiberglass broken badly repaired would not trust that part is even close. Looks like ...

Built a A frame lift for mine with 2 1500# wenches worked really well . Only have to lift 1/2 the boat at a time

I have no idea if anything is remotely close there is some very shady rigging going on plus it's off the trailer in a shop no way to put up the rig

Hello all. Proud new owner of a 77 22ft Chrysler. First time sailor, sailboat owner. There is some old damage to the wood and fiberglass mast step.ptetty shotty repair last time .
