New to me Chrysler

Just acquired this boat from a fellow member here over the weekend. This is my first sailboat that I've owned, though I've sailed off and on my entire life. Looking forward learning about this boat and the community.

Welcome to the forum. What year is that C22? If you're doing restoration work then you'll find loads of helpful information here. Whereabouts will you be sailing?

It's a 1975. She'll need a new mast and rigging, revamped interior, and some elbow grease, but not a bad place to start.

Her home waters with be Sturgeon Bay.

In the process of securing a Chrysler 22 mast from CA. Will go a long ways to getting my boat back running in the water.

Welcome to the forum. I expect you have found all the manuals you will need posted in our files. If you have any questions, we are happy to help. I found my C22 at a local farm where it sat for years for sale. I have replaced the Sails, Motor, Rudder system plus much general maintenance.
I have learned much along the way. I really like this boat design. Heavy, overbuilt, and very safe to sail. My brother has a similar age Catalina 22. Good boat but not nearly as substantial as the Chrysler. Definitely not good looking. Very good support and parts available.
I don’t know how many Chrysler sailboats still exist, there are 3 in NH that I know of. Mine is the only active one I have seen recently.
Skipper Dan will be checking the dashboard on a regular basis, He is also building a blog addition to link to from our webpage menu. Maybe you will be able to keep us posted on your project on that platform as well as this forum.
My main regret in my project was that I did not ask enough questions on this site. I wound up wasting my time figuring things out when the easy answers were here.
My last thought, when you get to stepping the mast process, I am happy share my experience and technique.

I will definitely need help with the mast step, as somewhere along the way a previous owner changed the original to fit a second hand mast they bought. I should be getting an original mast step with this used mast from CA, I'll just need to re-install it in place of the incorrect one.

Good luck on the step had to totally redo mine the PO had tried to fix it looks to be on more than one occasion. And a craftsman they were not. Haven't gotten mine out of the shed yet and put the mast back up to see how close I got but should be way more stout than how they had it. Looks like it was demasted at some point or had a mast lifting accident
