just curious if anyone knows how the boating or sailing is in georgia near savannah.

is it too hot to stay in the cabin overnight ? enough wind ? safe waters ?? etc etc..

hi dallasbob, is the stock chrysler hinge easy to use or does the mast tend to slip off the hook ? i havent raised a mast on this hook before, im just wondering if it would be difficult to keep the mast on that hook while raising it. Or is it easier to install one of those hinged mast brackets so ...

Hi All, i hope you are njoying the summer. i would like to replace the factory mast bracket with the hinged type. has anybody done this ? if so what part would work for the c26. would a Dwyer hinge work ?

also how would the mast attach to the hinge ?

Hi Guys, i am going to buy some butyl tape, what thickness do you recomend for sealing the portholes, i see on a past link someone ordered 3/16" thick by 1" wide tape from the RV store...this is what i was thinking of ordering but i see they also make a 1/8" thick tape. which thickness do you think ...

Hi All, i know this subject has come up before but im just wondering whats the best way to fix a leaky portlight ? there is a little bit of water coming in through a couple of my windows (1977 C26) and i guess i will have to take the window out and reseal it but what type of sealant to use ?

thanks EE, when i did a google search i found about half of the people keep them up and the other half keep them down for various reasons in the slip...so i got all confused lol.

if the keel is left up will it bang around in the keel trunk ? one guy said to keep it down because if the cable breaks ...

Hi All ...well summer is almost here and i have a question about keeping the boat in a slip during the summer. is it better to keep the center board UP in the slip to reduce keel pin wear or can i just leave it down and not worry about it ? the marina is pretty well protected and not much wave ...

i hope we get a heat wave sooner rather than later. winter sucks lol

first off im not a prepper but i have been reading that lots of preppers are considering trailerable sailboats as their bugout vehicles. the idea is that since the roads would be blocked etc, they would chose to use the waterways to move around.

any thoughts on that ?

Hi EE,, it was actually like fake fur but they glued it to the inside walls of the aft birth. it was a breeding ground for mold and other nasty things so i had to remove it now im painting it so it stays more dry in there.

sounds like a fun trip i was unable to view the pix.

the mast i have now has been welded in the middle - apparently the guy that had it before me broke the mast and it has since been welded.

the mast insnt perfectly straight now and its been shortened 4" and this raises questions about strength and function.

i think i would like a new mast and ...

title says it all if you have a mast please let me know.

i ran into this problem and what i found was my keel was slightly down just a few inches so the boat wouldnt come out. once i tighted the cable it came out with only about 5" of water on the back wheels of my truck. the angle of the ramp will cause the boat to roll out even if its not totally ...

i liked the 52 footer, its definately more boat than i could handle even my 26 feels big lol.

anyway i will be looking for a new mast if anyone has leads that ...
