Louis Vitton Cup Finals

Post by EmergencyExit »

Not sure if anyone's been following them on Youtube, but so far we haven't yet seen a full two boat race.

Race 1 Luna Rossa broke a daggerboard lift and dropped out. Same race TNZ came off the foils bow down and drove the boat up to the mast in the water, but limped along to the finish (if you can call 20 knots instead of 32 knots "limping". Luna Rossa took a Did Not Finish

Race 2 TNZ had a hydraulics failure and couldn't finish..took a DNF

Race 3 Luna Rossa had a wing control sheave break and couldn't finish..another Did Not Finish

So I told my racing buddies that the Kiwis were winning...1 DNF to 2 DNF's.. 8) Guess the team that breaks the boat the least will challenge Oracle for the Cup??

I can sympathize, my poor old boat always breaks down too...

OK,
I finally caught up on my Louis Vitton Cup recordings! Figured I better hurry with the Americas cup a few days away!

I intentionally did not come in on this duscussion because I had not watched all the races yet but had them recorded!

I see "Team Oracle" is following in "One Worlds" foot steps and got caught cheating!

I mean really? Come on guys! Lets not let the Americas Cup or LV Cup become a joke where the world just assums the US will cheat!

It's not cheating, it's how one interrupts of the rules.
And since the defender of the AC gets to write the rules......

I don't care one way or the other, but it sure is fun to watch. Like really, 72' sailboats that are capable of rising out of the water on foils racing at 50mph, 3 times faster than wind speed, you got to be impressed!

Watch this weekend on NBC
H:)ppy Place
78 Chrysler 22

You can go to a Zen Master or you can go Sailing, either way you end up in about the same place..... a Happy Place
