Poor little EE

Post by EmergencyExit »

Am bringing EE home Saturday. No point in paying dry storage at the club when I have space at home. Plus I went over the other day and somebody had been onboard and left the sliding hatch open. Nothing missing. Poor girl had 8 inches of rain water in her and a dead bilge autopump battery. We had some bad storms lately with lots of rain. Took 35 minutes to pump her out.

Am planning on finishing the dream saloon I never did do. Thinking about looking for an inboard retrofit, tired of outboards. Also she had a few more minor (not poppable) blisters on the bow last haul out, so looks like at least a strip to gelcoat and an Interprotect job, if not worse..

Dang, That sucks!
Sorry to hear the hatch was left open.

Glad nothing was taken though.

Keep a photo library of the upgrades! I look forward to seeing them!

Bad luck for EE, sorry to read that. Dead bilge pump battery Bummer. At my slip I have sore power, so I use a house type sump pump. An have the battery bilge pump as a standby. Tired of outboards wont to go inboard, think about all that space you will louse. I have a refrigerator were the inboard would be. I like outboards

At least she was on the old trailer, and couldn't have sunk !!

From time to time I run across a small diesel down here, hoping that happens when I can actually buy something..hasn't yet tho. Nice motors on that site !

Really would like to lose the original outboard mount and seal that up. Wouldn't lose too much space since I'm the only person that will use the stern berth anyway, and actually a fridge is part of the plan too

I have wheel steering so the cables are in there and I am the only one that will crawl in there also.

Get well quick EE.

I'm not crazy about my non-steerable outboard in tight quarters, but I like not taking up space, being able to raise it out of the water when sailing and not having an extra hole below the waterline.

I wonder which is louder in the cabin while motoring.
