Weather Video Clip

Was at the boat(s) yesterday, replacing a jib halyard block on the Cal, got the mast stepped, and thinking about a quick late trip out. Saw a thundercloud off in the distance and decided to put the cover on the Cal and do quick check on EE's outboard instead. Never got the chance, by the time the cover was on the Cal this had blown in..took about 25 minutes to pass.

Up to the time I shot this video, there had been no wind all evening. The storm ran along the shoreline, we had 2 miles to cover to get back to my dock, about 1/4 mile from home the boat was healing at about 10 degrees with bar poles. Got 3 lines on the boat as the rain started, then hail, went below and drank scotch for about an hour until things calmed down.Image
