June Picts

Post by Bhacurly »

Well,

Over the last couple weeks we did an overnight trip to the other end of the lake, not hardly a puff a wind in 2 days! 30 miles from our end, the south end of Lake Pend Orielle, at Bayview ID, to the NW end in Sandpoint ID... 5 hrs and 1.5 gals of fuel... The next day we motored back...

Then a nice day with some friends, rafted up for lunch, then more sailing!

Today was not so nice! But we had plenty of wind :D We planned to sail across to the East side at Lakeview, dock there and hike 1/2 mile into the small town there... but the lake has come up and been just over flood stage for over a week, not as bad as they thought due to the cooler weather, but high enough that the walkway from the dock to shore was under water with waves breaking over it... so we ate on the boat and then had a good sail back. It was my Fathers Day sail, the weather for Sunday looks too bad for my daughter to wanna go out  So were meeting for lunch instead :D

The picts are here, an the first was taken 2 weeks ago, the 2nd and 3rd shot today an show how the water is almost into the parking lot! Any higher an the power box comes out an no power at the marina...

I do hope to get some more video up soon too...

Hope you all have a Great Fathers Day!

Great pictures Billy

Remember even a bad day of sailing beats any day of hanging out on land

great photos! thanks for sharing such a gorgeous spot with us! when I see pics of places like that I realize that the potential for trailer sailors is limitless in North America. Gotta retire and hit the road!

Bill,

I bought the 6" ones from WM, wanted room to work in... Go big or go home... And with pulpit bolts I was glad I did!
