I stepped her mast Easter Sunday!

Post by CaptainScott »

Well!
I had in my plans to rebed another protal on LAdy Jo Sunday but it looked like rain. I figured I'd hold off on that.

so . . . . . . .
I took my new gin pole I made last fall off Lady Jo and put it on Forplay!
I was able to step her mast safely and easily all alone and even with the factory original mast hook!

YEAH!

I did have to add a pair of pad eyes to the side of the mast to make this work but hey, they were only 13 dollars each!

Unfortunately it is raining again this week so I have not taken photos yet.

Oh yeah, for those who were not aware, I was using my boom as a gin pole per the original instructions that came with a C22. What I found was that it worked great however I quickly tired of figuring out each line and where it goes each time. So . . . . I made a dedicated gin pole with dedicated blocks and lines! So far so good!!

Alan? Save up some money! You can make one too! I know you have an original mast hook you can replace that silly thing you have now! LOL!

Scott I guess we cancelled each other out - I unstepped the mast on the Cal Easter Sunday..brought it back to the house.

Also opened EE up after the winter and did spring cleaning.
