So question number one--do the procedures and tips for fixing the hull/deck anomalies with epoxy and filler also apply to anomalies in the vinyl liner? My guess is yes.
I have a horizontal crack in the liner, port to starboard above the little donut bulkhead that is forward of the v-berth. (I will post pictures this evening.)
Does anyone remember that photo of a C-22 for sale that got posted a while back that had "ribs" across the "ceiling" of the cabin on the liner, above the v-berth? As speculated on the post, those ribs looked like they might have been installed for stiffening. This may confirm that. I 'd like to look at the picture, but I can't find it by various searches.
The donut bulkhead is that little wood rectangle with a hole in the middle of it. Where the boat is about a foot wide (inside measure). No sign of similar crack or stress on top outside on the actual deck , but I'd like to head off anything.
Last related question: has anyone messed with the triangular metal "frame" at the bow (forward of the toerails) and how it is bolted through to improve its strength/stability/viability?
Yes, I have removed bulkheads and will start replacing them this month. While they are out (and toe rail is off)--I should fix this and another less ominous crack.
I am NOT looking forward to the job on my back working above my face with my head stuck in the pointy end of the boat.
