Only thing green on my boats is the MOSS!!!
LOL!
Actually the canvas on Destiny is green!
She has several solar powered lights and many LED upgrades.
Lady Jo has a solor panel and ran exclusively on that until I discovered she has a new leak. Now she runs on solar panel and shore power to ensure both bilge pumps have plenty of power. Looks like I'll be dropping a keel soon!

Solar panel
Let me het this clear, you leave the solar panel
inside? Like on the table? And this works well? Please clarify, I'm thinking about adding a solar panel
and am just not sure where to place it... Or if I should direct connect to the battery or feed through a switch panel... Any help is apreciated

Hey Alan,
how about some more info on the solar panel? part number, where to find etc...I'm all for green...$$$$ Well saving it as well!!
we changed out the interior lights to LED's....and I also have a few of the Solar LED landscaping lights for evenings in the cockpit area...
Were considering going electric in the motor dept, along with a new mast light ( LED of coarse)

Solar panel data:
Sunforce, Solar 12v Battery Maintainer, 1-800478-6435, www.sunforceproducts.com, Produces up to 1.8watts and 125 mAmps @ 15Volts under ideal conditions.
Item number 50012
UPC number 8-34319-00063-1
I cant find a model number in my documentation.
I bought it from Frys but I've seen it online and other stores for more money. Note this panel is not water proof.
Thanks
Alan

Picked up some LED lights for the cabin and berths last night at Lowes. They had a closeout on the Utilitech 288741 undercounter lights which are a 3x3 grid of LEDs on a 4" black square. (Really can't find pics on line even tho it Googles so I'm describing as best I can. ).
They're a 12vdc fixture, with a power switch and came with a 110/12v adapter. Marked down from $22 to 5$ so I bought the 4 they had left.
I've heard the headache thing from other people too, so I'll probably add these to the cabin, but leave the others for now until I see how that turns out.
