I couldn't tighten starboard loose bilgeboard mount machine screws (they stripped or sheared) so I tried to remove them to replace them and can't.
Anybody have repair ideas?
Or is it the inevitable cancer of old unfiberglass protected plywood rot and parts corrosion, in an inoperable area (the inside of the bilgeboard box).
I've fixed most other problems I've found except rotten mast step/forward center "rib".

Anybody nearby (gulf coast MS) want a LS16 project hull and/or all other gear?

I had to remove the whole mounting plate and drill out the old screws to get them out after one broke while tightening it. This is on the plate that holds the lever for the bilgeboard. Of course I found the wood inside the area where the plate mounts to be rotted. So I am digging it all out and pouring in some epoxy mix. This is the first boat I have owned and I hope to get it out this year yet.
