Last couple of days . . . . . .

Post by CaptainScott »

With Lady Jo on the hard and no sailing business in cold weather Destiny gets a lot of time.

Monday I took my brother and his girlfriend out for a very leisurly cruise. Very light winds and some clouds made for cool but relaxing day. We actuall broke 4 kts at one point but generally sailed at about 1.8 kts all day.

Tuesday was even cooler. The water around Destiny more resembled a slushy than liquid. No solid ice so we were a go. No wind at all Tuesday for us so we motored over to Langly and grabbed a spot. Diane and I took Taryn our daughter, one of her friends, and our 7 month old Corgi. We had a wonderful pizza lunch at the local restaurant and motored home arriving just before dark!

Outstanding! The only sailing around here this time of year is on ice boats. While it looks like fun, it's too cold for me.

I Also Sailed Today

Here in central Tx we can sail some in the winter. Today was about 55 degrees with bright sun and a very light breeze. This was the first time since Thanksgiving I went out, almost forgot how!
