Happy B'day Scott.

I'm BAAaaaak!
Thanks again everyone!
It was a good low key Birthday.
Alan ( AlanHod) came by and we blocked up the keel on Lady Jo.
Got it up and on jack stands ready to be dropped. We went inside to loosen the cap on the keel pin but it would not budge. So . . . . .
We soaked it in liquid wrench type product and will try again soon.
Alan and I then headed out to a warehouse of boat goodies and bought a couple of items.
Later that evening my wife, daughter, and one of my sons threw me a nice birthday party!
Monday and Tuesday I was completely off the internet doing honeydo's etc. Our dishwasher died. A new one to arrive tonight. Yeah, no more wrinkled hands! LOL!

I believe everyone is glad you enjoyed your day I know I am. Is Destiny still in the water and how bad did Everett freeze I hope not bad enough to do any damage.
Catch the wind and ride the wave, Have fun

Yes, Destiny is in the water! She lives in the water all year round. Fortunately She is on A-Dock which is closest to the river that Alan comes down to get to Puget Sound. While the river is fresh water, it is very active along with the tidal currents. All this water movement keeps the area around Destiny pretty free of ice. It did freeze up a bit but nothing terrible.
We also keep her at 50 degrees inside during the winter to avoid any freeze issues witht the plumbing. We keep two boat heaters and two dehumidifiers running all the time in the winter. Along with opening all the doors and drawers. This seems to work very well for us! Only fear is lost AC power. IF we loose AC and we have not in the many years at the marina our plan is to simply move aboard and run the diesel furnace.
The furnace can keep her at 70 degrees easily in the cold weather.
I have pictures of the marina where it is frozen, I'll see if I can post them tonight.
Thanks again!!
