I see you have a keen eye for Chryslers! It is another 1980 Chrysler that has seen a lot of good work done on it by her owners. That boat is/was for sale as well, but there is little work to be done on it and I like to have a project. The price made my boat more... ah... accessible for me as wellEmergencyExit wrote: Tell me, what's that boat just to the port side of yours ? Can't see a lot of it, but some of the features look familiar. Toerail, block behind the jib winch, mainsheet in an inverted V running near the end of the boom..

Welcom aboard Al I purchased mine 1 yr ago and she is still a work in progress but I bought her for 700 and sold Newport for 600 so to upgrade only cost $100.00 with a new trailer. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.

Welcome and congratulations skipper.
I believe I talked to the owners of the boat next door during my search for a C26.

Welcome aboard!
1st boat an it's a C-26! Very nice!
Not meanin to hijack the welcome thread... but I have a question for you C-26 folks... It appears both the 26's have a mid boom "travelor" set up... hard to tell for sure. On my project boat I'm thinking of switching to one, but these look different from what I've seen, no rail over the hatch, a 3 pulley system with one on each side and 1 on the boom. Am I wrong? How do you like them?? I've seen 3 pulleys before, but all were on the boom to spread the load, and one on a travelor rail goin across the hatch if I recall... just curious.
Again, WELCOME
Billy

BHACurly,
C26's don't have a traveler, at least not from the factory. They have a mainsheet system that attaches mid-boom and on both sides of the companionway. It only has a control line on one side, so it doesn't act as a traveler.
I think someone set up sort of a 2 sheet system, one each side, which gave them traveler like control.
