Missing Gooseneck Piece On C22

Post by Carl_IN_TX »

I would like to ask a favor. I am missing a small part that goes in the gooseneck assembly. The boom has a clevis, and the mast also has a clevis, and apparently there is a small metal block that goes in between. I am missing the small metal block part.

I just got the mast up and found that the part was missing. Is there a place to buy one of these? If not I will try to make one somehow. If anyone has a good idea of where to buy one i would appreciate it.

PS: The mast raising bridles did the trick. The mast went up smooth and controlled. I used the jib halyard to attach to the top of the gin pole and made up 1/8 inch cables for the other parts. Instead of a winch I used a pair of double blocks and line to pull it up from the front. Thanks to Scott for the photos on how to do it.

Thanks,
Carl

UNfortuantely it is passed my bed time so I can't remember where I got mine but they are indeed available. If you do not have an answer by tomorrow evening, I'll dig it up for ya.

The goose neck and toggle page:

to go to RIGRITE.COM If memory serves, this is where I bought a gooseneck and toggle for Lady Di. Make sure you get the correct toggle for your needs!

Hope this helps!
Scott

PS: Glad your bridles worked for you! I have found them extremely usefull!!

Toggle - Thats What It's Called!!

Thanks Scott, It is the toggle I am missing. After looking at the RigRite site I think it is part number K-1993 that fits my C22.

Thanks,
Carl
