My wife and I picked up a carryout pizza this evening and went down to the Lake Michigan lakefront at around 7:15 p.m. here in Kenosha ,Wisconsin...We counted around 150 sailboats passing us by as they made their way to Mackinac Island in the 105th running of the Chicago to Mac race.
I looked at the Chicago Yacht Club race tracker online and it showed that all the boats were sailing well west of the ideal rhumb line which allowed us to get a great naked eye view of the fleet...of course no binoculars or camera with, but oh what a beautiful sight.
What a sight....!!!!
What a sight....!!!!

Bill, I had predicted they would be close to our shore thanks to less wind the farther east you went. We saw them as we drove by on Hwy 32 and decided to take Copacetic out for a better look.
