Pirateer spreaders

Post by knygard »

I am re-entering sailing with a 13' older Pirateer that lacks spreaders. I am pretty green on techniques and hardware.

I have found the Dwyer website (thanks to you folks), but I don't know what to order. The manual (downoaded copy) says they are 17"; I think they are round, from the fuzzy picture, but it doesn't tell me the diameter.

I have made two spreaders, an need to make one more for next year. For my C-26, Aluminum lone chars have the same size stock, easy to find on trash day, so you just need to buy the ends of the spreders.

Welcome aboard knygard!
My C22 and simple aluminum tubing for spreaders. If you have the length, you are on your way!
