South East Chrysler Cluster Memorial Day 2012

Post by N41EF »

We had talked about this a few weeks ago, and got side tracked due to my keel bracket replacement. My boat is back on the trailer, and hoping to get wet this weekend. I still have a lot of cosmetic and wiring to finish but nothing that would keep me from getting wet.

I live at exit 11 on I-20 just in SC from the GA line. Google airports in Graniteville, SC and you can see my house. I have an acre of parking, plus neighbors who help out.

If you want to sail, Lake Thurmond (Clark's Hill) is 25 minutes away, Lake Murray in Columbia is about 45 minutes.

Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight, and West Marine are all 15 minutes in Augusta GA.

I do have an empty bedroom, and lots of tent space, or you can always sleep in the bost. Also have an inground pool just big enough for a C26. Georgia Aquarium and Six Flags is 2 hours West, Riverbanks ZOO is an hour East. Charleston SC is a 2 hour drive if your spouse doesn't want to play boats.

One of my dogs is a serious alpha, so would be best if you didn't bring pets.

I have just about every power tool, many extension cords, pressure washer and room. I've done alot of glass work, electrical work, not so much on rigging or sailing.

Please let me know if you are interested in coming, if you are interested in Sailing, or working or both, and if your boat needs work what kind to see if someone has done it before.

If the timing doesn't work out, we can try for another 3 day weekend later in the year. I know we have several people in FL, SC, GA, NC, TN and AL who are withing 4 or 5 hours away.

SWMBO is luke warm on sailing, but is supportive.

Just let me know what dates works best for you... I'll do my best to make it. My C26 is still in the back yard so my main interest would be gathering working knowledge on just about everything. :D

Pfft, prove your pool is just big enough for a c26 first....Just kidding... Memorial Weekend is the start of the season here, so it's a no go for us.
