Fixing a hole where the rains come in

..Sgt. Pepper and I are taking advantage of a stormy day by sitting inside the project boat and looking for a leak..after a rain there's a lot of water right under the forehatch, but no signs of where it came from..and no daylight showing around the hatch seal either...

Sounds like fun! A little flour sprinkled around goes a long ways towards seeing moisture!

Flour, good idea, thanks ! I have a minor one on EE that will great for..

This one was actually piling water about 1/2"-1" deep under the forehatch...and it was random (and too easy to find, I had coffee and a whole pack of Thin Mint GS cookies to keep me company, and only ate a few while waiting).

Leak was aft end of head portlight, dripping onto area behind the head, flowing forward around the head, then running under the forward head/vberth bullkhead near the door, and coming out on the sole under the hatch.

I know that makes no sense unless you have a C26, will try to get a photo when I can..

I spent a long time staring up looking for the leak, and finally looked down and there was the telltale dribble at my feet,,

I would've argued hard that the leak HAD to be coming from the hatch since the water was lying right under it...

actually I was hoping not to work on the portlights to re-sell the boat, but I may have to..

Great info from EE as always. I got my leakes fixed, so I wont have to put the 10x12 tarp on all summer @ the dock. My grass is growing the trees aer green, an my sailboat is in the driveway?? Got To Get Sailling

Thanks for the info in leak detection EE. Next week I'll be hauling the SS Lollipop out of the barn up north and flouring her up to pick out the things I need to re-seat with butyl first.
