Lady Jo II

Post by CaptainScott »

OK,
most of you know, I sold Lady Jo. I did however have a second C22 in the background named Forplay. My bride and I floated Forplay yesterday for the first time! Her stickers ran out over 10 years ago so I suspect she has not seen water in a long time.

Diane removed the name from her last week. Now I can say the keel brackets look good and she does not leak at the keel. So we move full speed forward making her a most pretty sailor!

From this point forward you will hear me reference Lady Jo however she is not the original. She is the younger sister ship. To date, new motor, new running rigging, new power panel is on the way, and I'll be ordering new sails. Trailer has all new lights and great tires. This evening I even took the time to start polishing her! Just the starboard boot line but hey, its a start. Clearly she is going to clean up nice!

I look forward to posting a picture some day saying WOW! Is that the same boat!

I have shots of her where and how Alan and I found her. She looks great compared to that but has a long way to go before I am satisfied!

Here we go again! Yet another C22 getting brought back from for sure death. This one is a keeper!

(well, until I find another! )
