Still no video. Looks like I need to get a new mini DV camcorder to process the tape. In the meantime, my nephew Johnny was taking these pics of the event:

For future reference though . . . . . . .

On Destiny we carry several wool blankets. We tell our guests it is to help keep everyone warm given our generally cooler climate here in the PNW. However . . . . . . in reality . . . . . . .we have an agreement that should we ever go aground, the first thing we do is cover our boat name with the blankets! LOL!

Sad to see your boat sailing the extra short water though.

Looks like you guys had a great time until....well glad the boat turned out alright!
Good thing the boats handle as shallow of water as they do or coulda been worse.
Bet you can't wait for the 7.5hp!

I would have worn out the blankets on the trip from Kemah, lucky for me that Pen Kalet's name needs repainting.

Doesn't compare but I got the Coronado 15 stuck on a rocky bank like that once, big breeze pinning me to them. Two little old ladies sitting on overturned buckets with cane poles fishing and laughing their rear ends off at me..I had to get in the shallow water and drag the thing across the rocks until I got to the boat ramp. Luckily it was just a little ways. Skint the bottom up pretty bad too..

Well to paraphrase an airplane thing, any docking you walk away from is a good one, and if you can use the boat again afterwards then its a great one...

Vary nice looking boat you have there, hard to beleave it is as old as it is. It could pass for all most new. Wish I could have been there to help you

Mine has cute little sticker on it that says "The Sailboat Shop, Austin, TX". And a non-OEM mast bought after the previous owner did just one time too many.
