Another weekend not working...

Post by Bhacurly »

on the project boat and went sailing instead!

Glad to see on the forum folks posting to help everyone out while we go an play!

But it was nice :D Saturday was a no wind get hot jump in the lake kinda day... Sunday the breeze picked up so we ran downwind thinking it was going to fizzle out, which it didn't.

We set a "motor on" time to get back to the slip by 1730 hrs, which was good. After we started motoring the wind was fickle, sometimes gusting to 30, then down to a calm. Motoring into it we got misted by the spray to stay cool on the way home....

So here is another video for you folks still working on you projects to enjoy! Hang in there and think about the fun to be had soon enough!

Oh and what the heck! Seems like You-Tube was bought out by Google some time back and now we get there silly ads all over! Arrgghhh

Beautiful! Just beautiful! One of these days I'm going to head out to Washington. What a gorgeous place to sail. Thanks fore sharing the ride! I hear ya on the project stuff. I waxed the hull on the 'Lollipop' when I first got her, but the sea has been calling me lately and she won't wait for any more superfluous primping to be done

Thank You Billy I think I will save that video and watch it a few times as I go to work replacing my keel pin, by the way what kind of cover was that you had across the boom to shade the cockpit

Hi David,

Funny cuz that question pops up fairly often. Its a rainfly from an old backpacking tent. We've had to, and have to now, replaced a pole section across the boom, but fabric is on it's 5th season w/o any real signs of wear. Sun or rain it is usefull...
