Looking for wiring diagragms, on-board to Sailor O.B.
Hello all,
Last fall I purchased a 1981 TMI 22', the immediate but short-lived successor to the C22'. The 6-pin outboard-to-hull connectors were both severed and discarded before time of purchase. The related on-board ignition and charging dircuit wiring is also in a sad state of repair.
What would significantly increase the possibilities of sailing my boat this season - and what I have not been able to find - are some wiring diagrams showing the harness in the outboard (sailor 250) and more importantly, any diagrams of the on-board wiring circuit which leads out to the outboard. One important bit of good fortune I have had, is to find a new set of 6-pin connectors to re-connect the motor-to-hull.
Does anyone have some information like this? It would be appreciated SO much!
Thanks

I have a manual for the 280, but it only includes the wiring that goes to the terminal strip of the outboard, and doesn't include the remote wiring...
I can recommend Franz at Franz Marine as the guru of all things Chrysler outboard.
http://www.franzmarine.com/
Personally I bought a generic Chrysler remote control set, and hand wired it so that when the switch was in the on position it supplied power to an old starter solenoid thru an external push button that was wired across the outboard start button..so turning the key on and pushing the remote button is the same as pushing the button on the outboard.
I don't have a diagram for it, but if it helps I can do one tomorrow and post a link for you..

Does your 6 point conector also carry the 12v battery/starter cables?
Reason I ask is that last spring I replaced my boat to motor connection using just a regular flat 4 prong trailer connection (battery/starter cables seperate), and there was a extra wires that did not seem to be needed, but everything still works fine.
I would also be interested in the correct way to wire that connection![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

I may have that info in a shop manual copy I purchased. Unfortunately it's just bi-tonal, with no gray scale, but better than naught. I'll look this evening and PM you.
