Welcome to the forum Blue Magic... I will let you know stright up if you don't already know that 90% of the members on this forum already hold a grudge for you bringing a TMI 30 among us. Green with... best expresses the sentiment. Being the gentleman we all know you are don't force us to look at photo after photo of your new toy. (LOL)

Being a man of obvious good taste by bringing a TMI 30 among us I'm sure you can read through all this... translation please force us to look at photo after photo of your new toy.

We've had a flurry of new registrations this last week, was hoping one of them was the buyer of the Chrysler/TMI !

Congrat on the TMI 30 I was tring to hold out and get one but my 1st mate wanted to start our travels yesterday or I would have been all over your new boat and as I had prior said would have been willing to spend 3x what you paid. I'm still very interested in seeing pictures of the one that got away and hope it brings you much joy.

Where our you planning on sailing it? we just went thru the Charleston area with both our C-26 and E-32 and it seemed like it would be a great area for the C-30.

Again congrats , good luck and welcome

Welcome Blue Magic.

It was too far away for us to contemplate or you would have had more competition. As you can tell, many on this forum are green with envy!

We just made the trip to check her out.We were caught in that stom in Virgina, thank god for my NH driving skills. Pictures can be deceiving. There is a moderamate amount of crazing, overal not bad. The boat is definately worth 6100, I question if it was worth 8K. Needs about 500 in parts and 1000 in soap and water.

Welcome to the forum, Blue Magic! Crazing is cosmetic, usually not structural. Once you drink the Chrysler Kool-aid, you'll never regret it!

I wonder if the previous owner painted the decks with non skid. They are gray in color. Has anyone had a problem with a cracked lazerett.? This one is cracked and the plywood core has shown some signs of rot....This will be my first fin, my hunter 30 had a modified full keel, the Tartan 27 had a full keel and an Oday 25 had a swing keel..I am lookingh forward to the trip home. I figure about 1o days to get her back to her new home in North Myrtle Beach. :D

Hey Blue Magic

I am roughly based out of Little River now because of family and allthou not sure when I'll be back in the area, would like to drop in and see what I passed up.

I'm very interested in what are the C-30's sailing characteristics knowing that your sailing grounds must be the Atlantic.

Haveing a modified keel on the E-32 the sailing is much different then the C-26 which should be like your C-30...Have fun

Blue magic

North Myrtle Beach is just down the road from me in Wilmington N.C. If you find the need for a crew member or just someone to give you a helping hand give me a PM. Not that I'm a wealth of information or skilled in the finer arts of fiber glassing, but I'm always looking for an opportunity to broaden my experiences with the Chrysler line of sailboats.

I started to post the "crew" offer, but realized my annual leave was pretty tight and held off. Glad I wasn't the only one in a helpful mood.

Being a ( crew ) member on Blue Magic' s may be 1/4 helpfull mood. But 3/4 greed is more lick it. Sure like to see how she sailes, 30' with a 11' beem, 4800 # of balest ( that is a lot of led, worth more than the 6100 payed ) My C- 20 has a 7' 11" beam an is the best sailing boat I have. I bit the 30' with the 11' beam would sail as will. Allso me being a trailer sailer would like to know what it is like to sail on a larger sailboat.
