Hey Gregg I'm about to be in Jax Fl with my C-26 comming down the ICW. I might be comming up the west side after a slight detour to someplace called the Bahammas
. I will let you know when we get your way. We will be staying in Jax for a short time but I have no land transportation or I would jump over and see if there was anything I could help you with. I also have a C-22 that I hope found its way to my inlaws in SC.
Yours looks to be in very good condition, what needs to be done before you splash her?

Mario G Jax FL is about 3 1/2 hours from Inverness Fl. But when you come up the west side you could anchor in kings bay in the crystal river in the town of Crystal River this is close to Inverness FL. we would be happy to come get you with a motor boat and take you to dinner . Kim and I would love to swap some war stories and sea tails , If the west side falls of your agenda then maybe Titusville. or Cocoa Beach Fl still 3 hours away but much ezer to get to ...
Yes I have keel pin issue with my C 22 .......does this look like I need to replace the keel pin brackets? .your opinion please ....It looks like the brackets have been replaced before
because the pin looks to be stainless steel and their is some extra holes that have sealant oozing from ...does anyone have blue prints, sketches, drawing, dimensions or maybe an old part .... so I have something to go by ..... what should it be made with ,17-4 ph, 303, 304, 309 stainless steel ,what should I seal it with ECT. ECT. what other things do I have
to look out for, please add your comments, opinions, advice, ECT

Welcome! I have been scuba diving in Kings bay. Great area. There's a guy in FL that makes those brackets and pins for the C22. I tried to find his post in the for sale fourm when I first read about your boat but could not find it. I used them on my boat last summer. They were just ok. He charged me $300.00 for the set with pin. Took me the better part of a day to grind and drill them to fit. I think a local machine shop could produce a set for you and you could have control over the build up. I would replace them. Would love to drag my 22 down your way and sail for a few days. Good luck with the new boat. Jeff
Just saw your other post. Use the 3M 5200 sealant. Assemble everything wet, and use the pin to insure good alignment while bolting in the new brackets. Allow time for a good cure. These brackets were made of steel, hince, all the rust. For the salt water I would use stainless steel for sure. I'm sure a machine shop in that area will make a good call on the temper, they're bound to see this type of stuff all the time. As far as a templete, just use your old brackets as a base and once removed you can make a tracing of the recessed area in the hull and/or you could make a mock up from a peice of 1/4 " ply.

Here is a link to the pics of my boat, click on view all and you will see the pics of the keel pin and bracket r&r.
