Hi Guys,
I'm here still working on the C-22!!
Hopefully get her in the water soon.
Trying to get the motor situation figured out!!
Ronc, You say you are in Ohio. Where are you located? I am just east of Columbus.
Gus, We are planning on bringing our boat down to Hertford NC in october,
Would be great to hit Albemarle Sound together.
Let me know what you think.
Jeffrey

I was in front of the TV watching the America's Cup highlights on CBS while it poured, then was in the boat cabin putting down new blue carpet while it thundered, and was putting the table back in while it stormed, then in the shop building the galley while it rained some more. Really wanted to get over to the lake and take the little Coronado C15 out, but it rained heavy all weekend till late Sunday.
I'm several months behind on the project, and have decided to do the bottom/keel work and launch after that. She's seaworthy again, and the rest of the decorative stuff can either be done afloat or next year.
At one point on Friday night the lightning got really bad and hit a nearby tree while I was in the boat, and I remember thinking I came into this world on a Friday the 13th, looks like I may check out on one too. <G>

"Overview: A sailing trip and adventure from Beaufort North Carolina to Cape Lookout on the weekend of September 29, 30 and October 1. The point of the trip is to have fun with other sailors and sail from Beaufort North Carolina, on the ocean to the lighthouse at Cape Lookout. This is not an organized event but is a meeting of sailors that want to sail to Cape Lookout with other sailors."mga1951 wrote:Hi Guys,

Wanna go this year? Last year I think they had 24 boats, and the year prior to that, the Pirates sailed with a big group of Macgregor sailors.
Just let me know the dates so I can put them down for vacation.

Dang... weather's been kinda nasty around here too. Rain and thunder, I had to bring the mast down the other night because of the thundering. At least, thanks to the rain, I found a leak in the fore hatch.EmergencyExit wrote:I was in front of the TV watching the America's Cup highlights on CBS while it poured, then was in the boat cabin putting down new blue carpet while it thundered, and was putting the table back in while it stormed, then in the shop building the galley while it rained some more. Hi Guy's,
I been out sailing quite a bit and workin some on the boat. Light breezes in the morning and then it dies down some so we've been puttin up a shade and swimming. Been 100+ here over the last week and the water is warming up nice.
I got tired of putting up and lowering the mast each day. I was lucky enough to get a slip on lake Pend Orielle in north Idaho. It's a beutiful lake and has great winds... It's a deep lake, 35 miles long and in some places 5-6 miles wide with steep slopes around it from a glacial dam that burst at the end of the last ice age. It's the inspiration for the name of my boat which is an Icelandic term meaning glacial outburst flood... Here is a link with more info about the floods if your interested. It was the largest floods on the planet and created numerous lakes in the northwest...

I know, I still need to post some picts and I will... eventually. I start a 3 week vacation soon and will be on the water for good parts of it. Then I'll get busy and update the website

I will be at alum Creek most of the weekend. typically I put it in the water on friday and take it out on sunday. I might do some scuba diving on saturday so if that happens then I will just be up there during the days.
This is my first boat and I have basically taught myself how to sail. Feel free to take a look at mine. I plan on redoing most of it over the winter. right now I am just sailing as much as I can.
If you want to stop by the lake just let me know. My email is ronc@columbus.rr.com
