Spreader length for C22

My C22 did not come with spreaders or brackets. I bought new ones from DR Marine / Dwyer and was wondering if anyone could tell me the Length of the stock spreader so I can cut these to size.

My C-22 has spreaders that are 28 inches each and are 12' 7 1/2 " up from the base. The Chrysler Sailing Association website says they should tilt upward. I suppose so the cable runs parallel to the end of the spreader.
