So cool to read about all your adventures,,, people goin out in winds that scare them, folks rippin sails and rudders right off the boat, getting advice and giving it, watchin videos and seein picts!!
I say that because it means this forum is alive! On the Catalina 27 forum I asked a question a week ago or so,, and it was one of only 2 posts to that forum in 2 weeks, and still no answer...
So let me see what you 26'ers think,,, in my Cat 27 I am thinking of taking out the forward "bulkhead",,, not the one with the anchors for the shrouds, but the one between the V-birth and a head on the starboard side and a closet on the port side. I don't believe it is structual by the screws that were in it. I would really like to open up my V-birth, it's smaller than my C-22! If needed I could add an"arch" to the roof to help...
Thanks for your thoughts, and keep the posts coming!

Thanks
I am thinking of a hinge over the "portapotty" for day use for the First Mate!
I like the openess look of that arch! With everything tore out now we've discussed something similiar to keep that airy feeling below,,, nice to actually see it in use. I have a mast support directly below the mast now, but that type of an arch system could be easy to fabricate!
I have plenty of top side glass work yet before I can paint, hopefully before the cold weather sets in, so the inside work is still in the planning stage. I'll keep ya's posted and of course picts will follow.
