New to me C-22

Post by Jmckamey »

Well I've done it again!! After many times swearing my next boat would be a nice turn-key vessle I have once again purchased a project boat from a field. :( Just can't seem to resist the challange I guess, At least thats the excuse I'm going to use use this time as my wife gives me the eye roll I'm sure you guys know all too well. She's a good trooper though. She just goes about her buisness and lets me dig myself out of yet another hole.

The boat is in not too bad of condition. She is very solid in hull and deck. The interior liner is nearly perfect and almost all the cushions are present. As for the bad the boat has spent a lot of time in the salt water and the keel shows it. The po droped the mast when preping the boat to move it to his home. The mast step J hook is broken and the mast drove one of the stern pulpet stantions thru the deck on the port side. NICE. Not too complicated of a repair and should not take too long to bring her up to a nice usable condition.

As for the pick up, the boat was stored on two logs about 24" in diameter and down in a botton with a spring draining thru the area. loading the boat on the trailer was a snap. She just slid right onto my trailer using the trailer wench. As for getting her out of the bottom, that was a trick which involved a F-350 4x4, logging chains, and a tractor., all stuck at some point. Thought I might have to sell the po my trailer for a while, but good'ol boy persistance won the day.

As for the purchase price, one 1987 Yamaha moto4 350. Going to miss that 4 wheeler but well take care of that latter. So if any you guys know anyone looking for a nice Chrysler 20 have them give me a call. May even take a nice atv in on trade.

Yes, a hinged mast plate for sure. Do you know anyone that has installed one? Would like to know if it is a strait up install or anything to look out for.

Perfect. Thanks! Now that I see that I seem to recall looking at it some time ago.
