mast hinge plate questions

How much is it to install a mast hinge plate? is it something you can do on your own? anyone have a recommendation on one over another? Thanks

We used this one. Not expensive and they delivered very fast. Took hubby about two hours to install.

I like this idea of a hinge for raising the mast. Has anyone done this on a 26 or is it the same idea as the 22 ?

Fran was kind enough to post a link to my site for you already.

This can be installed by you quite easily. The only thing to watch is the alignment of the hinge plates on the mast and on the mast step. Just don't put it up crooked! LOL!

thanks to everyone for the help. I think i am going to order the one that you recomended. Does the piece for the mast just screw into the mast itself using metal screws? is that strong enough? Thanks again for all the help on what must seem to some like stupid questions.
