Please recommend your bilge pump.

Post by Windwalker »

Now that I've got a toe rail, I am getting Windwalker ready for sailing this summer. One if the things she needs is a new bilge pump. She use to have a Rule 750 that overheated and melted the plastic over the motor.

Now, until this happened, I was happy with the Rule pump. It fit nicely in the bilge space for the C26 and did a good job of keeping it clear. :)

What other makes of pumps does everyone have in there C26 bilges? If it fits in yours it should fit in mine. I haven't ruled out Rule (pun intended) , but am open to others.

Thanks!

EE also has a small Rule, but I want to say it is smaller than your 750.. At any rate, since it has too be small enough to fit that space, and it has only a bit of water to void, I'd probably buy it again if it went out.

I hate to sound stupid, but I don't think I have a "bilge" to put a pump in.

I have the fixed keel version...is there a bilge...and where is it?

DParker I have a fixed keel C-26 alsoand have a bilge pump, thou I can't tell you the brand it looked like the atwood on my C-22.

LOL I would have to also admit even with staying a full weekend on the C-26 I fould myself lost in the space it had. But I would look in the forward berth area.

have not seen full keel model but I would see if the cover under cushion in stern berth right behind stairs look down with a flashlight. that is where it is on swing keel.
