I bought my boat with the idea of trailering it to new areas to sail. Do any of you travel away from your homeport trailering your boat and if so would you share some of the places you have been.

Welcome aboard this forum. As you have seen lots of good people and good advice.
As far as trailering our C-22 we take it to the Albemarle Sound twice a year. it is the body of water the Outer Banks protects.
28 miles wide and average 20 ft deep/ Intracoastal goes right thru it.
We have a condo there and our marina is deep water and will take up to a 60' yacht.
if you want to check out here it is, and this goes for anyone out there.
We rent out our condo long or short term.

Mostly the Sound and Oriental. There's also the Pirates Sail Festival in Cape Lookout, its a really good event if you want to attend.
Lakes, I have Jordan Lake about 45 minutes from my house, but lake sailing its not my thing (bores the crap outta me)

My 22's are on trailers in the driveway so they get launched with every use! I know know I have more than a day or two of use, I'll leave her in guest moorage for the weekend or week.
Check a map of Seattle and you see Puget Sound. Follow the water North to Everett and see Possession Sound and/ or Port Gardner. That is where I sail the 22's.
Look further North to the San Juan Islands, Canadian Gulf Islands An the Georgia Straight. That is where we take Destiny.
I've been past 50 degrees North in Destiny as far North as Jervis Inlet.
Google Young Life and Malibu Club. That is as far North as I've been on my own boat!
