Just thought I'd pass it along to those that missed it...a really nice C-22 graces the cover, yes cover, of Small Craft Advisor magazine....

Though, I don't the we have our boom that high. Maybe our main has just stretched...

I thought this was very interesting...


my c-26 ( fixed keel) came up with 146 points on the test...average for medium size boats...

Windward came up as 174. Would have been 179, but the cockpit locker isn't totally waterproof, although it would hold less than 20 gallons of water if it were empty, and thus poses less of a risk than most large lockers.

It was mid 160's when I did it the other day but I question the higher rating given wooden boats. It doesn't matter what the boat is made of, without some sort of built in flotation most ballasted boats are going down if they flood and wood suffers from structural deterioration that often can't be seen or found until something actually fails.
