Autopilot recommendations

I am doing some research on autopilots for my C-26 and I am looking at both the Autohelm St2000+ or the Simrad TP22. I have read some bad things about the Autohelm ST2000 reliability but have heard nothing but good things on Simrads system.
I am new at this and would like to hear some opinions on people that have used each of these units or are at least more familiar then I am.
