Does anyone know of how to lock the outboard in the straight position?
Mine likes to wander while I'm sitting in the cockpit trying to steer with the rudder.
Any info would be great.
Thanks

On many older outboards there is a adjustment bolt/screw on the upper or lower steering bracket that you could tighten up.
On my Chrysler outboard there is a simple bracket the runs from the transom clamp to the tiller mount that locks everything straight.
NOTE this arrangement will NOT allow you to use your motor to steer in very tight maneuvers.
