Hi All, i hope you are njoying the summer. i would like to replace the factory mast bracket with the hinged type. has anybody done this ? if so what part would work for the c26. would a Dwyer hinge work ?
also how would the mast attach to the hinge ?

I really like the system the C26 has as designed . . . I'd stick with it.
If you have to change you might consider the Kenyon K-1264. You will need to call them to see what modifications will be needed.

mast hinge ...what type would work
hi dallasbob, is the stock chrysler hinge easy to use or does the mast tend to slip off the hook ? i havent raised a mast on this hook before, im just wondering if it would be difficult to keep the mast on that hook while raising it. Or is it easier to install one of those hinged mast brackets so the mast doesnt fall off.

I think Capt Scott just tapped and screwed his to the bottom of the mast shoe with no issues. Some pics from him are in this thread
