OK C26 sailors - had to remove the table again to fix the mast post; couple of the screws that go thru the head bulkhead into the mast post were easier to get to that way.
And that reminded me again what a big honker that thing is, how much in the way it is, and how much more room you seem to have without it. Of course the keel trunk is there, not much you can do about that, and the table does brace the winch stand...
But looking at everything, it looks like one could take a few inches off the winch stand bottom and reduce its height a bit, then run a couple braces along each side of the stand and tie them into the ply sides of the keel trunk and forward to where the table attaches to the bulkhead now.
Then add a rectangular drop down table hinged to the head bulkhead and open that area up. Can't post any pics till I get home but maybe you can get the idea..
