Wadidja get for your boat?

Post by CaptainScott »

Santa brought me a deck plate for the base of the mast on Lady Jo!
YEAH!

Looks like Lady Jo will indeed get lines run aft soon! When I replaced her running rigging I made Halyards long enough to run aft! Kind of a pita to have all that extra line and no turning blocks! LOL!

I didn't get the C22 I wished for BUT!, Santa did bring me a retro receiver for my cell phone. Kids laughed at me and called it a fogeyfying look. My first thought was great, now I can actually hear if someone calls while I'm out on the lake, my second thought was, cr@p, now I can actually hear if someone calls while I'm out on the lake. LOL

I want a boat that drinks 6, eats 4, and sleeps 2.

We actually thought hard about that one ! Redhead would like to look at a cruiser for long trips after we retire. And that one made the short list. Too far away tho.

Yes I thought about it, I actually put a tape measure across my living room 13 foot-wide and 35 foot long that's a lot of boat. Now do I want to feed two 350 engines, no. But if you ever looked at a motor sailor, the main difference would be the mast, I do have three sailboats, so let's say I have the parts. I would remove the two large engines, and replace them with say 60 horse diesels. And rather than a centerboard, have one on Portside and starboard side. I think that would be doable? But you don't buy a boat like that without seeing it and you need to find a place to dock it. Well there was just something to think about. So many boats and so little time

A trip to the Strictly Sail Show in Chicago next month. I missed last year and really need that fix. It's a coin flip right now on whether to accept the gift or put it into the new Main sail.
