Had a friend with a Mac26 come down and we attemped a cruise down the coast a bit. But pesky patchy fog pretty much meant we sailed around in front of the harbor waiting for it to burn off. It never did even after a snack break at Shaggy's. And we weren't going far until it did !

Last time it caught us just off shore and just as we were decided to head in we got socked in all around. Was a good chance to check out the MxMariner app and we used it to get to the channel and close enough to find the breakwater just as it came into view thru the soup..

Nice photos, always happy to hear of other people going sailing this time of the year. My boat is in the driveway with a cover over it waiting for spring. My next-door neighbor here as a Mac 26 and he docs it were I dock mine. We often go sailing together sometimes I my boat and sometime on his. So I know the Mac 26 quite well, and for the last four years I've been launching it in hauling it out of the water in the fall. My neighbor enjoys sailing on my C 26 and I enjoy sailing on his Mac 26.

Sounds like you at least had SOME fun! Nice photos EE!

Yeah. Well. The burger was nice.

Actually we were going to take both boats out, but my VHF tested dead and with the fog coming and going I thought better of it.

Fog can be bad unless you have radar and thank you for the pics my boat is behind the house covered and it bugs the @#$% out of me.

Oh but you'll get even with me some fine summer day when you are sailing and I'm down here in 96 degree heat watching some tropical storm wander in the gulf, LOL..

I prefer fresh water too but after brooming a foot of snow off my boat, I'd settle for a little salt right now.

we have fresh water here need to go 80 miles to get brackish water but I can only sail 6 months and do not want to get even but do wish to share when the weather is good. Last 2 years tropical storms unheard of in the northeast but last year we had Irene and Lee 10 days apart at least my boat was out of the water Sandy we only had surge but boat was out to be safe.

Likely because I have two Gulf Coast kids up in the NE at school... ..they come up your way looking for them..

No I don't think the storms followed them it is more likely the cycle it will get hotter and more storms and then get colder of course over a few centuries.
