Thursday evening I raced from work straight to Lady Jo where I launched her and sailed in almost perfect conditions with a student of mine!

Friday my whole work team and I skipped work, went to Destiny, headed out and did some crabbing where we caught 31 keepers Dungenous and Red Rock crabs!

The guys from work sure seem happy! LOL!



Saturday my daughter and I took a faimily of 5 for a 3 hour sail again in near perfect conditions! I think they liked us! They tipped 40 bucks!! WOW!

Sunday we took hour neighbors crabbing where e caught 35 keepers Dungenous and red rock crab! Then went to our house, cooked and clean all the crab, and ate as much as we could leave several BAGS of fresh cooked crab to send home with the neighbors!


Two days later even more success with the neighbors!

Please note:
My wife buys thin plastic kind of like painter plastic! She then covers the table cloth with it and sets the table on top of the plastic. When eating the crab, we simply toss the shells on the table next to our plates! THAT is why you see a very messy table after eating! When done we clean the dishes off, and simply pick up all 4 corners of the plastic and toss the whole thing!


All this in record setting heat here in the Puget Sound area!

Boy am I hungry !!!

Well...my weekend sure doesn't compare with that ! Although I was told I was being a bit crabby..

You gotta let me in on your crabbing technique!! We tried crabbing when bareboating out of Vancouver last Sept. but only managed 1 red rock for 5 hungry sailors ! ! !

Good weekend here also - 3 days of wind and sun!! Saw 6.2knots on the GPS running with a reefed main on Saturday, ye-haw!!

Cool crabbing on a sailboat, what a week of fun for all. Hear on the Great Lakes we try to avoid having crabs on boats. Great post, photos an how to crab fish welcome.

Amen to that, we deffinatly avoid the crabs on the Great Lakes!

I did get to do some scuba off the Andante two weeks back. Amazing to see first hand what the Gobies and Sheephead are doing to the bottom. I have fishing poles on the boat, but the wind has been so good that they have nary got wet, save when at the mooring.

Boy, now I'm REALLY hungry!

That amount of crabs would cost dearly down in my neck of the woods. Did I spy a new forward hatch on your Chrysler by chance? I wounder if such could be found for the C26, not that I dislike the old hatch... just perhaps another future project.

Nope same ole hatch just painted!
Previous owner painted the slider hatch and the forward hatch.
No light comes through at all so I have added LED lights inside.

Great photos, hear on the great lakes no crabs, but we have a lot of the best fish to be had. Using your crab rig hear you would get cat fish, vary tasty when smoked.

Outstanding! That looks like quite a weekend.
