I have been working on various rigs, but nothing looks quite right on the Man-O-War, so I rebuilt the broken mast instead and got it on the water today!

Even reefed down to about 40% of the sail area, that thing can MOVE.

Perseverance... is a wonderful thing, may you have many days of fun sailing in your Man-O-War. I've said it before... a Chrysler is a Chrysler no matter how small.

Awesome!
Glad she is on the water looking a bit more normal!

I'm glad she's 'normalized' too. The boat is just too darn good looking to be sporting a blue tarp lanteen forever, no matter how practical. Now she's a classic again. My bother has an MOW hanging around his barn. I'm dying to give it a try!

Nice Job MaRaider. The MOW is very fast and extremely fun when the wind is kicking. It's a good workout too when hiking out to keep it level.

I have been on hiatus from the forum (and sailing for that matter) for a couple years, but I have my MOW back on the water and better than ever.

So, if you have any questions about your MOW I probably have an answer.

Btw, I am still in shock after viewing your broken mast picture. Mine has a slight bend in it near where yours snapped. Was it actually broken or crimped over? So now I am a bit worried. It's been like that since I got it and seems so strong (I can't straighten it).

Folded 75 degrees, right at the deck. Was a sick, sad feeling and we had to limp back to shore (I had stupidly had the thought: "With two of us in the boat, the paddle will get in the way, besides, there's wind!") by him hilding the sail up and me steering (in reverse) to get to shore.
