the boat will be in the water for sailing this week. My dad and I are so excited, cant wait. here are a few pics with the sails up and the new ropes on.

can any body tell me what that metal loop thing is and how it is used....i cant figure it out. thanks

Kevin...looks like you need a gooseneck slide...so you can adjust tension on your main with a downhaul...the metal loop thing may be a reefing hook...not sure about that...Bill

Reefing hook...if the luff on your main has a cringle (grommet) you hook it with this when reefing....(lol, Bill we must have been typing at the same time tonight, you typed faster and beat me to it)

My boom came with your same fitting. I changed it to the DH 418 from Dwyer

thanks, its coming along nicely. it was in pretty rough shape when we got it. bondo, we live about thirty mins south of duluth and we will stay local with the boat for know. just to be safe.
