Lazarette leaking?

Post by Creel »

Water is coming inside boat thru lazarette lids. My boat is on a trailer, but slightly leaning to starboard, so when it rains water is gathering and running under lid/lip, up and over into boat, down the bench and runs onto floor in cabin. It only happens on this side. Has anyone else had this issue?

My C26 has a habit of collecting water on the cockpit seats right at the companionway corner..thinking about doing something similar as this Cal21 fix, which I've done with great results on mine..

Since your boat is slightly leaning on the trailer. Try raising the tongue of the trailer so water will be more prone to drain toward the stern.
Or jack up the trailer on the low side to level the boat.

I had that issue, the answer was to install some foam tape under the the hatches, so when closed they compress and form a seal. Once I did this no more water....
