I see only one short fall in having a birthday this close to Christmas... alot of people try to make one gift cover both. Hopefully not in your case, Happy Birthday.

Thanks everyone! Yes, There was one attempt to consolidate my birthday with Christmas. It was because my Mom's birthday is two days earlier, and my brother's is two days before that. When asked if I wanted to wait until Christmas I responded, "No way! I've been waiting all year for this!" It never came up again.

Great stuff - kind of - I got a new gooseneck for Tranquil Chaos. From the picutre of the DH 418 on Dwyer's site I anticipated the whole roller reefing setup. Only the slide came. What I really need is the square block that goes between the slide and the boom. My current gooseneck was scavenged off another boat of unknown origin. It has too much slop and makes stepping the mast too hard. I e-mailed Dwyer to see what else I need to make this work.

Thanks again!

Paul if you are i contact with Dwyer co. and looking for parts for roller boom my 1972 Newport Holiday had it and when I was looking for the mast hinge I told them what boat I had and they said that is easy they got the mast from us so maybe they got their booms there too.

No, I'm sure it won't do to just give Pam an IOU on the 25th!

Just an update. I e-mailed Dwyers about the gooseneck. Re-reading their add on their site I couldn't tell if I should have gotten it all or not. They very rapidly have replied with 2 e-mails, apologizing and saying the remaining parts are in the mail coming to me. I appreciated their service and wanted to let you know how it turned out.
