LMAO. The first thing the wife said when I brought the Lollipop home was "Where's it going to be stored for the winter?" I told her not to worry, "I'll get it figured out". Well, the season's done now and she's been asking when I'm moving it to the bros' place in the country. I came up with a better plan, I told her .......camouflage! "I swear, when you squint your eye's in the dark, you can barely see it", LMAO! She didn't LHAO ... just shook her head.

We celebrated our 25th today. The fact that she's hung with me all these years is proof enough for me that there's a God in heaven!.... and yes, the Lollipop's going to the bros' place for the winter

Bruce:

I just noticed the table that you have in the cockpit of the C20. Is that something you added or did it come from the factory that way? Does it also install in the cabin? I made a new table for my c22 and would like to use it in the cockpit. Most days the cabin is just too hot to sit at the table. You just may have started me on new winter project.

Hi Brian. There was originally an optional cockpit table that came with my C-20. The metal base for the table was there when I bought the boat, but the table itself came from a garage sale freebie pile that I had picked years ago. Probably from a conversion van. I stuck it on an RV post from my popup. It was a bit wobbly when I tried it out. There's a lip inside the base which I assume was used to lock the table in firmly somehow. Making treasure out of trash is one of my hobbies (a modern day alchemist), but that's a project for another year : )

No table in the cabin. Only room for trays there! Maybe I could put some folding legs and a small tablecloth on the porta potty  As long as lunch is served early it shouldn't be an issue

Thanks Bruce, Maybe next summer I could come up and get a ride on that boat of yours. I grew up near Detroit in a little town called Gibraltar. My wife and I come up quite a bit to visit her father that still lives in the area.

....Snow white..camo dark. Darn, I didn't think about that. Guess I'll just have to shut the curtains. The wifs in jr. high school admin, she leaves and comes home in the dark, so I'm safe there!

BTW thks all for the congrats on the 25th. We're celebrating by going on a Caribbean cruise over Christmas with the in-laws who are celebrating their 50th (you know... my father in law, Benny.... from the shipwreck story, LMAO
If he can do it, so can I...LMAO again)

If he whines on this cruise, I hope the captain makes better docking choices than I!

Brian,

The tablecloth on the porta potty may cause you to become a solo sailor. Sounds like you need a C22. Come over to my side of the state and buy mine.

Congrats on the 25 years. We hit the 25 year mark last July (high school sweathearts and still together). We leave Saturday for a week in Riviera Maya to celebrate.

Nope can't see it at all, you're going to need to put a big red arrow pointing to it on the photo for me.

This is how I hid mine.
Image

I hid it in the snow, but then it melted, as we only have snow 1 maybe 2 days a year, some years no snow at all. Oh how the neighbors love me.

Thanks

No need for the red pointer on your photo Alan! Gotta love the driveway shuffle. When we have our boat in the driveway we never seem to have the right vehicle in the back on the open side. And congrats Bruce on the 25th! You're a little ahead of us, we just went past our 16th. My high school sweetheart and loving every moment...almost! On our 15th we went down to Puerto Rico (Culebra to be exact), spent one day on a 29' Cat. Hope you enjoy the Carribean!

Ah yes, first mates. My bride and I are on our 30th year of being married, dated for 4 years before getting married. I fell in love at first sight with her on our first day of High School. It took me 2 years get up the nerve to ask her out on a date for the first time.

I know she still loves me too. As she hates boating, but is very, VERY supportive of my sailing habit and our Chrysler C-22. :D Love is never having to say your sorry you are a Chrysler sailboat junky. 8) She even wares one of our nifty new Chrysler C-22 T-shirt from Captain Scott when we go out. That's true love my friends.

Thanks
Alan

And Cynthia & I are in our 38th year, but we tell people we were born very young and then got married when we were two (as an arranged marriage). We met in high school chior but didn't date until I went away to college. We've moved all over the US together and still enjoy being a couple. As for sailing - since I turned a couple boats over: a sunfish with her aboard and a capri 16 with my son along - she is waiting for me to get some time at the helm before she wants to come along.

Got me........no actually nothing to show yet. Boats gone to indoor storage. I've got all the wood off and the hatch off to redo. Been traveling for work the last few weeks and haven't been around much to do anything. Hopefully when I'm back home again the cetol will have shown up so I can get started on the wood, most of it is sanded. I'm out in wonderful Kearney, NE for a trade show right now and am hoping to check out the "Super Sport Sailing" store here tomorrow after the show is done and before I make the long drive back. Who knew Kearney, NE had a sailboat store?!?!?!? Apparently they are the MacGregor 26 dealer for a good chunk of the midwest. I'm hoping to buy some resin. Also, they are a Tohatsu dealer, so hopefully i can get a few parts for my 5hp. When I've got before after pics you'll be the first to see them! 8)
