LMAO!.... I see some things I'd garbage pick in a minute if I drove by and saw that! Hmmmm... Winters Bros Waste, I googled it up just now and it's in Danbury, CT... too far.
My first $500 boat was a 1962 Mariner outboard with severe pox and rot all the way thru. The owner told me all it needed was a piece of plywood on the deck... HHAAA! Learned a lot about boats after that. D'ya know it only takes about two hours to saw up a 17' motor boat with a sawsall, but I had to bring it out to the curb over a four week period because I was too cheap to order a special pick up!

I wonder if he notified the state/county that he "sold" it, otherwise he's gonna get a tax bill and a bill for the registration renewal.

Kinda sad really.
You'd think maybe the person could have donated it or something.
My concern is that younger people will not have inexpensive starter boats available and they will think that sailing is only for the rich. I've seen boats worse than that used for training youth and to help get them itch that we all have.
Seems like spending a couple of hundred bucks on a dumpster to get rid of so much craftsmanship is a waste.
Just my opinion.

I have to agree and we have boat salvage yards around here.

I swear, I'll bet there's one or two people who've posted in this forum that could still make this boat seaworthy..... and reduce the registration fee by a foot of two at the same time!!!

why re install the bow and reinforce it and add some balast or re install the keel or make new. My wife has a pillow for the couch that says instant human just add coffee then she got me one that said instant sailor just add wind.
