Trailer Sailor VS Slip Sitter

I can now call myself a trailer sailor! For you other experienced multiple erectors of the aluminum tube, what hardware mods have you made that deviate from the owner's manual in order to allow a quicker set-up and less time in the parking lot? I've already switched over to using racheting straps instead of the rope for mast/boom stabilization. I made a dedicated block & tackle for erection that stays attached to the boom and bungeed to the mast when it's being stored. I'm looking for other hints and helpful solutions!

I actually have made a dedicated gin pole along with all dedicated lines and tackle. This allows me to not have to mess with the boom and it's rigging. If I'm out for a day sail, I can actually leave the gin pole roughly in place allowing for a quick drop of the mast that evening. The pole is in the way of the bow at that point so If I have guests I do not leave it. But if it is just my bride and I , it can sit there and I just step over the lines.
