Progress at last!

This has been a great couple weeks. Last week I finished my temp rudder and got it installed. Tonight I moved my mast from the side yard to the Tranquil Chaos and erected it. This is probably the first time this mast has been up since the late 1980's!

The challenge was moving the mast. Some have given me a hard time for simply muscling it around. Well, I had a heart attach 3 weeks ago so I'm being more careful. Here's how I did it.

You can also see the temp wood rudder I built after being buffalloed by the foam & glass one. Unfortunately it was too dark for pictures by the time the mast was erected. Those will come tomorrow!

Paul,

Nice job. Might as well use the mechanical advantage. Sorry o hear about your heart attack. I also had a small one about a month ago. 95% blockage, three stents, good as new today.

Love the color you put on the hull.

Regards, Jeff

Now that's using the old noggin... sorry to hear that you and Jeff have had a bit of heart trouble. Not to take such things lightly, but I hope this is not too common among Chrysler oeners. I can understand to a point my project at times has frustrated me to the point where I feel like I could have a bit of heart trouble myself.
