My Big brother bought this one in Kemah Texas. Her name is "Pen Kalet" (it's a French name, like the builder, and his wife must have named her)

The picture is her going back into the water in Kemah after a bottom job, new cutlass bearing and new prop shaft.

I'm moving up the ICW from Kemah to Destin, Florida. What an adventure. We are doing the mud crawl part of the trip now, currently tied up at Morgan City, bound for Houma tomorrow, with a night on the hook before spending a couple of days in New Orleans.

She is a 38 foot (12 footitus there) custom built (think tank tough, like a chrysler) Bruce Roberts design.

EE, if you've got the time, I've got the sails. Ever done the Mississippi Sound?

It's been an adventure so far (diesel breakdown, mesquitoes, large ship ports, 3 or 4 churlish tug boat captians, 1 down right mean crew boat captian), and I'll post more pictures and stories when I have time.

Not a bad place to blow vacation time! Destin is better, but not a bad place.

you going to go thru the Industrial Canal (Inner Harbor Nav) into Pontchartrain then out the Rigolets I guess ?

You'll have some great barrier islands off your starboard in the sound but it gets really shallow around them. Shaggy's is a funky little place to stop and eat at Pass Christian.

Have a great trip, and thanks for the invite !

Yup, spotted the Dinos. Noticed the christian soldiers first, though. And btw, Barber's is very nice, as in First Class.
